History
Tbilvino is one of the biggest and most successful wine producer brands in Georgia,which is known and trusted in more than 30 countries worldwide. Wine from Georgia is created with years of experience, the latest technologies, and traditional methods. It has repeatedly gotten international recognition at global competitions (Decanter London, IWC London, IWSC London).
Tbilvino was founded and started one of Georgia’s most significant wine production histories.
The company was headed by a new team, after which a renewed, modern philosophy of wine production was settled.
Special Reserve wine was created.
Saperavi Special Reserve was honored with the first significant
international award, a silver medal, and best in class on IWSC, London.
Tbilvino was awarded ISO 22000 (food safety) and ISO 9001 (quality control)
certificates, issued by the world’s leading testing, inspection, and certification
company (SGS).
Tbilvino became the largest exporter of Georgian wine.
Ancient tradition of the Qvevri winemaking method was re-established.
Tbilvino decided to expand its scale and in cooperation with the International Financial Corporation (IFC) started the construction of a new winery in Kvareli district.
In the Kakheti region, namely in Kvareli, a new enterprise with increased capacity was added to Tbilvino, creating 9 million liters of wine.
The first Tbilvino vineyards were planted in Kvareli, Kindzmarauli microzone, which allowed the company to control the full production cycle.
Tbilvino’s world fame has increased, and its products have been exported to more than 30 countries.
Tbilvino received the first harvest from its vineyards.

60th Anniversary Collection
To celebrate the 60th anniversary, Tbilvino has created a new anniversary collection of Tsinandali and Saperavi wine, made from grapes grown in the Tbilvino vineyards, with distinctive aromas and an unforgettable taste.
Tsinandali, the forerunner of Tbilvino's jubilee collection, is one of the oldest appellation wines with a centuries-old history. The drink is greenish-straw in color with notes of raw hazelnuts and white peaches, along with a hint of citrus. The pleasant acidity, the freshness of Kakhuri Mtsvane, strength, and lightness of Rkatsiteli can be felt in its taste.
Saperavi is a red wine grape variety. The Saperavi of the anniversary collection is one of the main pride of the company. Tbilvino created champion Saperavi from the 2018 harvest, which was named the best red wine in London. Ripe cherry, blackberry, vanilla, and oak tones are harmoniously combined in it.
Awards
Since the 60s, the assortment of Tbilvino wines has been constantly improving and growing. Currently, in addition to table and premium wines, the company creates special reserve, pitcher, and amber dry wines. Objective assessment of all of them is an important part of Tbilvino’s strategy, which is why the company takes part in international wine competitions every year.
In 2022, with 49 awards received at the most influential international competitions (Decanter London, IWC London, IWSC London), Tbilvino became the most awarded Georgian company in the total number of medals for the third time. The existing competitions are the most influential, leading, and unbiased world-class competitions, where the presented wines are evaluated by famous wine experts and sommeliers from all over the world.
Saperavi 2018 was named champion wine for the first time in the history of Georgian wine.
Qvevri’s Kisi 2020 won a gold medal and Value at the Decanter London competition, which means that the quality of this wine exceeds its price.
At the IWC London competition, Kisi Special Reserve 2021 was awarded the outstanding prize, trophy
Mukuzani Special Reserve 2018 won the gold medal at the IWSC London competition with 95 points.
The international success of Tbilvino plays an important role in the promotion and raising of awareness of Georgian wine.
